10 Free Hours Of Small Business Mentorship!

10 Free Hours Of Small Business Mentorship!

Hi there! My name is Steely Dipuccio and I'm offering 10 free hours of mentorship to one aspiring or current small business owner. Location and industry do not matter. Apply via the link below by August 30th, mentee will be announced on August 31st! APPLY HERE

A little bit about me, I am the Owner/Founder of Bon Vivant Delivered (dba Bon Vivant Gift Boxes) based in McKinney, TX. We offer thoughtfully curated + custom gifts for every occasion and have been in business since 2016. We recently celebrated our 10 year anniversary on August 1st, which is an exciting milestone and incredibly hard to believe. I really had no idea what I was doing when I started this business and have learned SO much over the last decade as the sole proprietor. I have a ton of knowledge in my industry specifically, but I also have first-hand experience handling all of the responsibilities that come with starting, owning and running a small business. I am so excited to use my experience and knowledge to help an aspiring or current small business owner take the next steps. One of the biggest regrets that I have is not seeking out a mentor in the beginning (because I was too afraid to ask and didn't want to "burden" someone else). The truth is, being a solo entrepreneur can feel isolating and I think we all crave someone to talk to that gets it. So, even if you are just looking for someone to bounce ideas off of or vent to about current challenges, I am happy to listen and give my *solicited* advice.

To be fully transparent, before you take the time to complete this questionnaire, in no particular order I'll list out my strongest skills and areas where I feel I can be a good mentor - but we're not limited to these!

Strongest Areas:
  • Small Business Start-Up - filings, licenses, requirements, website domains (specifically in the state of Texas)
  • Shopify Storefront/Backend - with the exception of custom code, I feel confident I can help with anything related to setting up your website, adding products, creating forms, connecting accounts, etc.
  • Marketing/Advertising - not my strongest area but I am well-versed in creating marketing emails, SEO, GoogleAds, Yelp, and more - I can help set up email automations and create/update on other free advertising platforms
  • Canva Design - I can help teach the basics of creating/designing just about anything in Canva. I am not an expert, but I know my way around
  • Inventory Management, Shipping/Logistics, Warehouse Workflow, Packaging, Fulfillment - pretty strong
  • Hiring and managing a small team, helping determine what your needs are and how to find the right people
  • Problem-solving and finding resources - strong skills here
  • Setting up automation and using AI responsibly - fair at this, not expert
  • Product sourcing, curating gifts/experiences, creating proposals/quotes, pricing and other retail-related things - expert level
  • Google Docs, Forms, Sheets, Slides and most other Google apps - moderate to strong skills
Weakest Areas:
  • Social Media - I know a decent amount but I do not consider myself an expert
  • Photography/Editing - I have limited knowledge in product photography but have never taken a class/course and do not know much about cameras/lighting/settings
  • Accounting/Forecasting - most things accounting-related I am familiar with but would not feel comfortable advising on. I can help set up Quickbooks at a basic level.
  • Number crunching, in general - I leave this to the Accountants/CPAs HOWEVER, I can help find ways to reduce overhead costs and help you estimate things like that
