McKinney Repertory Theatre (MRT) is a nonprofit community theatre where everyone in the community is welcome to participate, regardless of their level of experience.  Formed in 2003, MRT is a resident company at McKinney Performing Arts Center in historic downtown McKinney.  MRT’s mission is to build community through live theatre by supporting local talent and enhancing the cultural landscape of our community. It is supported, in part, by grants from the City of McKinney through the McKinney Arts Commission (MAC) and the McKinney Community Development Corporation (MCDC).
