NerdsToGo McKinney is hiring a Part-Time IT Support Technician to join our growing local team.

We provide computer repair and IT support services for both residential and small business clients in the McKinney area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work and is looking to grow into business IT support and managed services.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair desktop and laptop issues (hardware & software)
• Perform screen replacements, SSD upgrades, and RAM upgrades
• Remove viruses/malware and optimize system performance
• Assist with data transfers, OS installs, and system setups
• Help troubleshoot basic networking issues (WiFi, routers, printers)
• Provide excellent customer service in-store and onsite
• Document work and maintain clear communication with clients

Requirements

• 1–3 years of IT support or computer repair experience
• Experience with hardware upgrades (SSD, RAM, screens)
• Strong troubleshooting skills (Windows/Mac preferred)
• Basic understanding of networking (WiFi, routers, IP basics)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and stay organized

Job Details

• Part-time (approximately 16–20 hours per week)
• Flexible schedule (weekday availability preferred)
• Pay: $18–$22 per hour, based on experience
