Commercial Relationship Manager

Commercial Relationship Manager

Our nationally recognized Best Practices insurance brokerage is looking to add a Commercial Relationship Manager to our team.


***NOTE: This is not an entry-level position. If you don't have at least one year of experience in an insurance agency, please don't apply for this role.***


This role is a full-time W-2 non-exempt, hybrid environment role. The compensation is a base salary plus a commission split on both new business AND renewals.


Purpose


Cultivate and actively manage the client relationship beginning with the initial sales process and continuing throughout the client lifecycle.


Routine Decision Making


Team members are empowered to make decisions and act on all service requests, policy changes and cross sell opportunities.


Supervisory Responsibility


None. Reports to Vice President of Sales with dotted line to CEO.


 

Responsibilities:


Client Relationship Manager


  1. Proactive action
    1. Managing CRM Pipeline    
    2. Identifying service needed
    3. Capturing notes
    4. Knowing policies and coding correctly
    5. Read through departmental emails to learn about account history
    6. Inbound/Outbound calls
    7. Identify training opportunities
    8. Use critical thinking when evaluating inbox/policies/requests
  2. Pipeline Management
    1. Assist Risk Advisor in performing sales workflow
    2. Update pipeline with notes and accurate status
    3. Perform renewal workflows and actively manage the Renewal Pipeline
  3. Account Management
    1. Drafting and sending proposals as part of the Sales Workflow
    2. Working the Account Submission Workflow in coordination with Risk Advisor
    3. Communication with prospects and clients as needed
    4. Ensure a “complete submission” is ready for all accounts
      1. Executive summary
      2. ACORDs
      3. Loss Runs or No Known Loss Letter
      4. Supplemental application
      5. Communicate with underwriters in coordination with Risk Advisor
  4. Service
    1. Generate policy Proofs as needed
    2. Endorsements
    3. Inspection forms and documents
    4. Audit Tracking tool
    5. File and distribute
  5. Billing
    1. Premium financing setup
    2. Payment lifecycle management
    3. Monitoring Accounts Payable status to ensure prompt receipt of payments

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education:

Knowledge


Prior insurance agency experience of 1-3 years is required. Prior experience in a public-facing CSR type of role is a positive.


Skills/Abilities


Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Functional abilities in all standard professional computer-based skills including Windows OS, Microsoft Office software, internet browser navigation and related software platforms. Mental agility, adaptability, able to keep track of several tasks/projects simultaneously.


Formal Education


Active license at General Lines Insurance Agent with Texas Dept of Insurance. High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in relevant field preferred.
