After immigrating to the United States from Greece at the age of 17, John quickly found opportunity in the restaurant industry. At first, he was cleaning tables to earn money and put himself through school. With that education, he went on to become a licensed restaurant broker, where he was eventually tasked with selling the San Diego breakfast and brunch icon Broken Yolk Cafe. After having the chance to experience the brand's infectious culture and culinary confections, he decided to take a different path: purchasing the SoCal staple for himself, which he has since grown into a $100 million, 41-location category leader in the franchise space.
